CBT is offering its tutoring services at three sites this fall. If you are an interested parent or administrator in one of the areas surrounding a site and would like more information please contact us at info@cbtutors.org.

Chase Park
4701 N. Ashland
Mondays and Wednesdays 4:00 to 5:00

Chase Park is CBT's flagship site, established in 2005. During the 2005-2006 academic year, CBT offered tutoring services at Chase Park and recruited tutors from Lakeview, Lane Tech, Senn Metro and Amundsen High Schools. CBT's inaugural program at Chase Park culminated in a park clean-up by high-school tutors and board members on May 13, 2006. CBT continues to offer free tutoring services and has delivered over 500 hours of tutoring to the young learners in the community. If you are interested in signing your child up or volunteering to be a tutor please contact Suzy Deucher at playarole@cbtutors.org or by telephone at 773-510-2139.

In addition to providing a tutoring program at Chase Park CBT has assisted the Chase Park Advisory Council in raising funds for renovations to the existing playground. Our most recent collaboration resulted in a one-day family centered festival that occurred in the summer of 2007 that attracted over 600 attendees. Additionally, CBT is working with the Chase Park Advisory Council and the Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce to execute a 2-day summer festival in the summer of 2008. Proceeds of the event will predominately go towards renovations at Chase Park.

CBT is excited to offer a new tutoring program in a new community starting in the spring of 2009. Previous Sites

ACME Arts Building
1741 N. Western

The ACME Arts Building housed one of CBT's two new sites in the 2006-2007 academic year. CBT has discontinued this site due to difficulties in attracting a stable tutor and young learner population. However, during the programs existence we did sponsor an excellent community event that brought together about 50 children in the community to celebrate Halloween. Please click on the link below to see some very excellent pictures from the event.

Merit School of Music
38 S. Peoria

Beginning in the fall of 2006 a partnership with the Merit School of Music allowed CBT to offer their tutoring services to the students who participate in the Merit School of Music after school programming. CBT attracted tutors from local colleges, including the University of Illinois at Chicago and DePaul University.

Holstein Park
2200 N. Oakley
Tuesdays 4:00 to 5:00

The tutoring program at Holstein Park site was very successful and will be back in the 2009-2010 academic year. If you would like to sign your child up for the free tutoring service please contact Joe Ptasinski at playarole@cbtutors.org or telephone at 773-510-2139.
